Television news is going through some pretty big changes. The number of people who watch TV newscasts has been dropping.  The number of adults who get their news regularly from television has been cut in half.  More people are turning to "online sources" for news than ever before.

The greatest number of people who are turning to "online sources" are in the 30 to 49 year old age bracket.

Many stations are going digital-first, using crowdsourcing reporting, experimenting with augmented reality, and injecting more personality into the news to get viewers to come back to TV news.

Online streaming has developed a new audience for news and information.  All indications are that this will be the next frontier for television news.

So, where do you get your news?  Do you watch TV news or do you get it online?  What are your thoughts about watching news online?  How about weather and sports?
